Low Key Lighting

Low key Lighting brings flare and drama to an image. The shadows create a dark, mysterious mood. I liked how my subjects' clothes melted away into the background and how their skin glowed with the light of the soft box. My set up was a black backdrop and one softbox at a 45 degree angle.

  1. well this is just me....
    but.
I feel that #s 2,3,5 are to dark.
look at the whites of her eyes....they are not white.
    #s 1 and 4 are spot on.
if you want to keep the mood add some contrast, that way the darks stay dark but the face isn't all muddy and flat.
